Permanent magnet generators
The Switch permanent magnet generators (PMG) meet the needs of modern turbines from 1 MW to 5 MW and higher. We have commercially produced and successfully delivered a range of PMGs – direct driven, medium speed, and high speed.
Unique to all our PMGs are the patented magnet shapes and arrangements. These guarantee that The Switch PMGs always run smoothly at maximum efficiency. By eliminating cogging, we have reduced mechanical stress, improved reliability and extended the turbine’s overall lifetime.
The Switch PMGs provide excellent availability and productivity. Their specially segmented structure creates a group of redundant generators capable of independent operation to meet the latest power quality and grid compatibility requirements.
