CFO, Executive Vice President, Deputy to CEO
“Growing exactly the right way.”
Dag Sandås claims that the challenge of joining The Switch was simply too good to pass up. He joined the company officially as CFO starting on 1 January 2007 and brings extensive experience from corporate finance in several of Finland’s top high-tech corporations. Being very much a “seriously relaxed” kind of guy, Dag offers the right way of thinking to The Switch to make the business profitable and drive shareholder value up over the next few years.
The challenging task he accepted has already positively exceeded any expectations he could have possibly had. Dag is convinced that The Switch has been able to recruit the right people for the job – and the company is only at the start of what’s to come. “I really believe in this company!” he emphasizes. “It’s incredible what changes we have been able to make in such a short time. Our people are really enjoying themselves.”
Dag Sandås graduated from HANKEN, the Swedish School of Economics and Business Administration in Helsinki, Finland, with a master’s degree in corporate finance. After working four years as Assistant and Acting Associate Professor at HANKEN in economics and corporate finance, he worked at Wärtsilä Diesel for 10 years, where he held different positions in corporate finance, including the role of CFO for the Marine Engines division. In 1998, Dag joined Vacon as CFO, and later moved to become CFO of Finn-Power in 2003 before joining The Switch.
